About Us Course Director - Patricia Holmes MA FTCL GTCL LRAM
Patricia Holmes is a Senior Lecturer at Trinity College of Music in London where she is responsible for the courses in Psychology of Music and Instrumental/Vocal Teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. This has led TT4M to develop external courses in these disciplines in response to increasing demand from teachers who wish to expand their own skills in order to gain a further qualification. Patricia's own research interests centre mainly on the study of performance, including the overlap between sport and music performance and the use of imagery among concert performers. Recent articles on these topics have been published in the British Journal of Music Education and the European Piano Teachers' Magazine. As a pianist, Patricia has given many recital and concerto performances, both at home and abroad, but now specialises in accompanying and chamber music of all periods having worked with many distinguished artists. She is also increasingly in demand for workshops and master classes at an international level and in this capacity has lectured in Malta, Cyprus and the Far East. Patricia also travels widely as a Senior Examiner for Trinity Guildhall and has been the advisory consultant and moderator for their recent piano syllabuses. She is a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians. |
